A Descriptive Essay about The Green Inferno
(write the essay as if you were one of the characters)
It All Started
It all started when we went to the
forest of Amazonia. Rows of several trees planted on the area surrounded with
waters that were not as clear as crystals – it was as dirty as having mud
dispersed in water. And it was all because of deforestation. We know we had to
preserve the wilderness. The continuous cutting of trees had to stop that’s why
we had to ignite the fire to stop it. We firmly took our stand and locked
ourselves with cold chain around the trees where we voiced out words to save
Amazonia. As risky as it was, one of us was almost shot by the guards. It was a
moment that made our hearts beat fast for we thought of what could happen. We
were made to surrender; unwillingly, we were seized by armed forces. However,
the ball was rolling on our side. We weren’t sent to confinement. We hopped on
our plane and started to make our way home.
While on air, volumes of liquor
filled our system for we were able to address to the media of what happened.
For a moment, the struck of faintness and uncertainty left our minds. However,
it did not last long. The next we knew, we heard a familiar sound created from
the turbine, and we were trembling our way to the surface of the earth. Shouts
and screams of fear and panic filled the atmosphere, for the situation was
uncontrollable. The thought of death immediately crossed my mind for there was
no open air for safe escape. Some of us got thrown out when the posterior end
of the craft created an opening. We were all asking to spare our lives. We were at a
situation where we wanted to do everything just spare our lives. But there was
nothing we could do but sit still. After a few moments, the aircraft bumped
onto the green meadow and hit every standing tree it could strongly hit. And
when we stood still, our eyes saw what everyone turned out. But one thing was
abundant at the moment – blood. Everyone had blood shed onto their skin. One of
our pilots had his head off when we was hit by a tree branch, while the other
had a pointed tree branch darted into his midsection. The rest of us had scars
and bruises wrapping our skin. When we got out, a mysterious sound came from
the bushes. What happened next was unexpected. We were bombarded with what
seemed to be pointed twigs that had something that will make us unconscious if
we got hit. I had my feet run as fast as it could to somewhere to escape, until
I felt a sting on my neck and everything went black.
The next thing I knew, we were taken
to a village where a bunch of natives covered in red hue made their way to
where we stand. Each one of us were took by the red people. They had their
hands touch every inch of our skin and had their voices sounded like we were
just in time for their meal. Out of the red people, an old woman covered in
yellow with a long grey hair emerged. Her eyes observed every part of our body
and smelled our scent. When she chose one, the rest of us were taken to a
bamboo cage where our eyes could see and our ears could hear everything that
was happening. Our unlucky member, burst out screams of fear and pain. As
brutal as it looked, there was greater blood shed when his limbs were stripped
off from his trunk and his eyes were taken from his eye socket. They had
volumes of his blood contained in a cup where the old lady in yellow drank it
with delight and satisfaction. What happened next was unimaginable. The red
people had their mouths on our member’s dead body and had their teeth clench
every meat while tasting the sensations of his blood and skin. Our eyes were
locked and forced ourselves to stop looking. Our voices were in great volume of
fear and shock for it might happen to us. That was cannibalism. The red people
were bloody people. For a moment, I saw them as hungry wolves biting and eating
fresh meat that they had not tasted in centuries.
My members’ minds were stuck on the
insane and inhumane thing did by the bloody people. What had happened moments
ago should not be done the same thing to us. We all wanted to get our feet back
on our homeland. We all want to see any fleet of hope around the vicinity. We
all wished that a military force could detect us missing and save us from this
fearful place. If ever I wanted to die, it wouldn’t be as deadly as having
people eat my flesh. But all of this wouldn’t happen if we didn’t come here. It
all started when we initiated action on the trees. It all started when we
ignited to stop harming the wilderness. It all started when we went to the
forest of Amazonia.
